Breakfast with Santa

2008- 2014 at the Autism Center in Milford

Families with ASD Founders, Greg & Julia Smith, knew how hard the holiday experiences

were for their son, Luke.  Standing in long lines at the Mall to get a picture of Luke with

Santa or the Easter Bunny was NOT a fun experience.  If they made it through the long line

without a meltdown, by the time they got to Santa, Luke and the Smith's were so full of

anxiety that no one could enjoy the experience.  So in 2005, they started throwing Autism

friendly holiday parties. Because Families with ASD is all about families, they made their

holiday parties for the WHOLE family!

Our FREE Autism & Special Needs Christmas  Parties offer families a STRESS FREE

opportunity to enjoy the holidays.  Families with ASD serves a large continental breakfast.  After each family has an opportunity to eat, each family will have a picture opportunity with our sensitive Santa who has been working with our families for the past 10 years.   After the family gets their time telling Santa what they want for Christmas, they have a picture taking opportunity. Once all the  picture have been taken with Santa, all the children and adults with autism and ALL their siblings get to go to Santa's workshop top pick out a toy of their liking!

Like all of our ASD Support group meetings and parties, everyone gets a chance to hang out with other families who live with autism & special needs 24/7 , 365 days a year.  It is a great way to meet other families and built long lasting friendships.
