We do not endorse any of the listed providers. This resource guide is here for you to use and we ask that you take the time to choose for yourself the right organization for your family. We encourage you to use your best judgment when choosing a provider.

As a member of Goodwill Industries International, we are a part of the world's largest and most successful network providing employment and training services for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries was founded in 1916 and is one of the largest providers of rehabilitation services in the State of Ohio. The total number of individuals served in 2008 was 2,625 and total placed in community employment was 678. We served almost 600 Veterans in 2008 and recycled more than 45,774,895 lbs of donated material as wellas cardboard, steel and office paper.

Ohio Vocational Rehabilitation Agency

RSC is the state agency that serves Ohioans with disabilities to achieve quality employment, independence and Social Security disability determination outcomes through its Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) and Bureau of Disability Determination (BDD). By working with partners across business, government, educational and non-profit sectors, RSC vocational rehabilitation team guides youths with disabilities regarding career preparation; works with people who acquire disabilities mid-career; and advises companies about disability management and workplace solutions, which allows them to recruit talented professionals and retain valuable employees. BDD adjudicates claims for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
