We are forming this group because there are many of us who know the immense joys
and daily struggles of raising a child on the spectrum without a partner.
Meetings are held at Families with ASD's Autism Resource Center in Milford, OH. Come join us for an informal gathering to meet others and share our experiences. The group will be
facilitated by Families with ASD Board Member Janis Hastings, who is a single parent with a child on the spectrum.
BRING YOUR KIDS!
We will have volunteers available to keep our children entertained so that we can talk privately.

"THE SUMMER ADVENTURES FOR ALL KIDS, including kids with disabilities" idea was birthed back in
2004 by a group of professionals and parents who had a similar problem; finding good and safe summer time activities for their disabled children. There were several different splinter groups giving out information but nothing on a larger scale. In 2006, over 2000 families came to get information for their children for summer time activities from approximately 100 vendors. They also got fire and police safety help, autographs from retired and current sports celebrities, an opportunity to be a part of a live broadcast from WARM 98 and 8 entertainment group performances emceed by Channel 9's own Steve Raleigh.

The founder of Sun Flour began baking vegan cookies in 1993, when he learned that animal products contribute to diseases such as heart disease, obesity, cancer and diabetes. As a benefit, vegan cookies avoid supporting animal farming. He experimented until he found the best combination of 100% natural, egg and dairy free ingredients to produce cookies which are not only better for you, but taste as wonderful! What is vegan?

NO Gluten cookies are available for customers allergic to wheat and gluten. Sun Flour uses a blend of rice and pinto bean flours, which add fiber and complete protein!

Why Sun Flour? All products are produced in a 100% vegan dedicated facility - the equipment is not shared with animal products. Organic ingredients include organic evaporated cane juice, organic shortening, organic flax seeds and organic peanut butter. We also have the greatest selection of flavors and product packaging of any vegan cookie company! Visit our store and take a peak!

Support Group for Families

Families with ASD's Autism Support Group for the Whole Family
5989 Meijer Drive, Suite 9
Milford, OH 45150
Email: helpingfamilieswithautism@yahoo.com
Web: www.familieswithasd.org

Families with ASD was founded in 2005 by a local couple, Gregory and Julia Ann Smith, when their son, Luke, started having medical and behavioral issues on top of his autism. The first family autism support group meeting was Saturday, March 4, 2005. Since then, their group has grown so big, they had to go non-profit to keep up with the demands. Today Families with ASD is not just a support group, but also the founders of the Autism Yellow Pages, the Autism Expo and the Autism Family Resource Center.
The monthly support group meetings and group outings are free and for the entire family. Please go to their website and click on Families with ASD,and then meetings to view the calendar of upcoming Families with ASD events. The group is completely free and open to anyone touched by autism.
